Last Day On The Isle Of Wight - 31st December 1966.

Last day return ticket - Ryde Esplanade to Brading. Used on the 8.30pm Ryde to Brading and 8.55pm return, the very last time it was possible to make this return trip by steam. Last day ticket - 31st December 1966.

The five recordings are:

A) A poor recording of the very last steam departure from Ryde Esplanade with W14 & W27 (top & tail).

B) W17 departing Brading with the 8.30pm Ryde to Shanklin.

C) W17 departs Shanklin on the 3.45pm to Ryde.

D) W17 & W14 (top & tail) leaving Ryde Esplanade on the 8.30pm Ryde to Shanklin - note the detonators exploding.

E) W27 arrives at Brading with the 8.55pm for Ryde.
